TUNE IN: Sri Lanka’s Easter Bombings: Dispatches broadcast on Channel 4 5th September

Basement Films are proud to present our investigative documentary that reveals startling allegations and testimony from high placed whistle-blowers who accuse senior Sri Lankan intelligence and government officials of being complicit in the 2019 Easter Bombings in Sri Lanka which killed over 269 people including 43 foreign nationals, eight of whom were British tourists.

They also accuse individuals in government and military intelligence of thwarting investigations into the bombings and creating a culture of fear and silencing of critics of the Rajapaksa government.

Over a year in the making, the film contains exclusive and unprecedented interviews with the whistleblowers – two of whom have given testimony to United Nations investigators - this film asks serious questions about Sri Lankan state involvement in the horrific Easter Day bombings.

Directed and Produced by Thom Walker, Produced by Rob Macqueen, Executive Producers: Ben de Pear and “Chutta”.
